Boost Your Brands Visibility

Is it time to increase website traffic for your company? Maybe you’ve invested time, money and effort into getting your website set up and everything for launch, only to wonder where all the traffic is. Maybe you’ve seen steady growth over the past six months, but hit a plateau on traffic. Or maybe you’ve been successful with one traffic-driving tactic and you’re curious about tactics you can try next.

Whether you’re trying to attract your first customer or your 1,000th customer generating more traffic to your website is a crucial part of growing your business. If your site is properly optimized for conversions, getting an increase in web traffic could mean more customers and more sales.

Your website is a 24/7 marketing tool, but when we experience unprecedented events that affect all businesses, your website becomes even more important. It’s therefore important to make sure your website is geared-up and ready to compete in the market. Here are a few things to keep in mind when uplifting your website to its full potential.

Look at your keywords.

Keywords referencing your site can be a huge deal for your brand. Google and other search engines are more likely to notice your site when you are using keywords that accurately relate to your business. Be sure to keep in mind what your customers would “google” when looking for a brand like yours. These are the keywords to include in your website.

Double check the content.

A few things you can do is spoof up your content.  Adding a video to a page. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. However it could be a simple 45 second video that sums up the content of the page and caters to people that like to watch rather to read. Including social proofs to your pages – such as tweets and instagram posts. Add a map, if relevant to your content. Create a contact form that specific to the content. Add in some additional fields that ask the user to complete fields that are related to that page.

Invest time in sorting your internal links.

How pages of your site link to other pages can help Google understand your site and what you consider to be important pages. You have blog posts, and these blog posts should link to your landing pages. In turn, your landing pages should link to your home page. Google will decide whether it’s your post, landing page, or homepage that should rank for the keyword, and internal linking can help improve where you rank for all your content.

Optimize your images.

If you have overly large images in your posts and pages it’s going to affect your rankings. If you don’t upload correct sizing images it will effect your load time and visitors will bounce off your pages if they are having to wait too long for things to load. Also making sure your images in the content all have the correct ALT tags.

Write new content.

Writing new content is the best thing you can do for your website by keeping the information up to date. All the information we have talked about previous are still important, but without new content added on a regular basis to your site, the search engines are going to assume that it’s dead in the water. If you don’t want to surface in the search results, you need to add new, relevant content to your site daily, weekly, or monthly. Adding new pages and posts to your website will help in the following ways as well.

  • Google’s index of your site grows – it will check back more often if you update things.
  • You can start to rank for new keywords and search strings that you didn’t previously.
  • You’ll have opportunities for improving your internal link structure.
  • There is more new stuff to share on social media.
  • The search engines will see your site is updated – SEO is not set – and – forget.
  • You have new content to attract potentially new customers.

With more potential new customers than ever before searching for your business of products or services, optimising your website can never be a bad thing.
