We developed a modern brand and website concept for the Oklahoma BMX Hall of Fame, designed to honor legends and inspire the next generation of riders. While the organization chose a different path, our proposal highlights the bold identity and digital tools needed to grow their community.

At Hester Designs, we were honored to partner with the Oklahoma BMX Hall of Fame to create a complete brand identity and digital presence that captures the prestige, history, and future of BMX in our state.

The Challenge

The Hall of Fame needed a new brand that would both celebrate its heritage and appeal to today’s audience. In particular, they wanted to move away from the familiar USA BMX color scheme and instead adopt a look that felt more timeless. At the same time, the logo had to be bold, elegant, and easy to recognize. Finally, the website had to make it simple for fans, inductees, and sponsors to connect with the organization.

Logo & Branding

To meet those goals, we designed a clean, modern logo inspired by the iconic shape of a BMX number plate. From there, we introduced a new color palette of black, charcoal, silver, red, and gold. These colors added a sense of prestige and readability while staying rooted in the energy of BMX. In addition, the logo system was flexible, making it perfect for badges, apparel, and digital applications.

Website Design & Strategy

Next, we turned our attention to the website. We wanted it to be both professional and approachable, so we focused on features that would grow the community while being easy to maintain. The planned site included:

  • Inductee profiles to showcase rider stories and achievements.

  • Nomination forms for submitting new riders and categories.

  • Sponsorship opportunities to highlight partners and supporters.

  • E-commerce capabilities for merchandise and decals.

  • A blog and events section to share updates and celebrate the sport.

By combining these tools, the website would not only honor the inductees but also give the Hall of Fame a platform to reach fans, sponsors, and future riders.

Partnership & Sponsorship

Finally, to help the organization succeed, Hester Designs offered a two-year sponsorship. During that time, we would provide design, web development, hosting, and ongoing support at no cost — an estimated value of nearly $6,000. This ensured that the Hall of Fame could focus on its mission while we took care of the creative and technical details.

In the end, our proposal showcased how strong branding and smart digital tools could build a lasting foundation for the Oklahoma BMX Hall of Fame.
