Website Administrator Updates for Better Security
We are making an aggressive security sweep on all sites to remove any email addresses containing “@hesterdesigns.com” from the Admin Users. This may seem strange, but it will eliminate a single point reference for potential hackers. Hester Designs admin accounts will use more cryptic looking accounts and emails. You can recognize these by looking for words like “site” or “line” or “path” after the “@” symbol. If you see something concerning, call us immediately. We can always confirm a legitimate User account.
The Bridge Theme Architecture Sunset Plan
Over the next 12 months we will be working to start rebuilding sites using the Bridge theme and the WPBakery page builder. This has been a great and stable system for over 10 years. But… now it is large, slow, expensive, and now requires a slider software we do not recommend. Hester Designs has anew architecture, that is fast, light-weight, easier to use, more modern, and battle tested across over 100 website for over 4 years. If your site uses the older architecture, reach out to discuss scheduling the new project. You will thank us!
Slight Pricing Update
Hester Designs has always tried to keep projects affordable. We will continue to do so as much as we can on all services. Over the next 3 months we will begin to update invoicing to reflect a 5% increase. This is our first pricing update in approx. 8 years. We have ran the numbers and this increase should not impact clients more than a few dollars a month in most cases. If you have a concern or wish to negotiate these costs, please reach out. We can work with you.
