Jeff Hester always knew he was going to be a graphic designer. His fourth grade teacher once noted on a report card, “Jeff will be a great commercial artist someday.” At age 11, he was asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and responded, “I want to own a design firm.”
He began creating design projects in high school at vocational commercial art class, while also attending AP computer programming classes. This mix helped combine design and website development into a good core skill set. He adapted quickly to the commercial aspect of design and was hired by many companies while in high school. Jeff Hester went on to complete his degree with many awards and was the youngest person to become an instructor at Metro Tech, teaching graphic design software to high school and secondary students at night. Jeff returns to Metro Tech each year to encourage students.
