Municipal Employees Credit Union (Me/CU) is a well-established financial institution that serves the Oklahoma City area through its four branches. Me/CU is dedicated to providing personalized financial services to its members, which include individuals who live, work, attend school, or worship in Oklahoma, Cleveland, Pottawatomie, McClain, Canadian, Lincoln, Grady, or Logan County. The credit union’s mission is to foster financial stability and growth within the community by offering a range of banking products and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its members. With a strong commitment to member satisfaction and community engagement, Me/CU has built a reputation for excellence in the financial sector.

The Municipal Employees Credit Union (Me/CU) desired a comprehensive website makeover, aimed at enhancing user experience across all devices, particularly mobile. The objective was to ensure that members could easily access all the credit union’s services and information.

The new website features a streamlined navigation system that allows users to quickly find the information they need. This includes prominently placed links to essential pages, ensuring that members can easily access key services and resources. 

A specific section of the website was dedicated to detailing the various types of bank accounts offered by Me/CU. This includes checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and more. Each account type is described in detail, highlighting benefits, features, and eligibility requirements. 

Another critical component of the website is the loans page, which outlines the different loan products available through Me/CU. Each loan type is accompanied by detailed information about terms, interest rates, and application processes. 

Me/CU offers a variety of additional services to support their members’ financial well-being. The services page includes information about insurance products, safe deposit boxes, financial planning, and more. Each service is explained in detail. 

To attract potential employees, a job opportunities section was included on the website. This page lists current openings at Me/CU, along with job descriptions, qualifications, and application instructions. 

A highlight of the new website is the inclusion of a page dedicated to the Me/CU Foundation, the credit union’s charitable arm. This section provides information about the foundation’s mission, ongoing projects, and how members can get involved or donate. By showcasing their philanthropic efforts, Me/CU displays its commitment to giving back to the community. 

The website includes a member testimonials section where satisfied members share their positive experiences with Me/CU. 

Additionally, a news blog keeps members informed about the latest updates, financial tips, and community events. Regularly updated content helps to keep the website fresh and engaging.

Throughout the design process, user experience and accessibility was prioritized. The best practices for web accessibility were implemented to ensure that the site is usable by individuals with disabilities, adhering to the latest WCAG guidelines.
