Westview Boys’ Home, a trusted institution dedicated to nurturing at-risk youth, is expanding its scope of care with the introduction of two new services: Westview Family Services and Westview Transitions. For over half a century, Westview Boys’ Home has been committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for young boys, helping them develop into responsible and successful adults. Their mission is to offer comprehensive care, education, and emotional support, addressing the diverse needs of each individual they serve. With the addition of these new services, Westview Boys’ Home continues to build on its legacy of compassion and excellence in the field of youth care and family support.
Westview Boys’ Home engaged Hester Designs to revitalize its brand and extend it to its new service offerings. Utilizing expertise in branding design and concepts, a fresh update to their existing logo was provided with new cohesive logos for Westview Family Services and Westview Transitions.
To support the expanded scope of Westview Boys’ Home, a new website that effectively integrates the new services was developed. Launched in the fall of 2018, the site employs a “three-in-one” style approach, giving each service its own distinct “website” within the main domain. This includes individualized color schemes and dedicated blogging capabilities for each service, ensuring that each area can communicate its specific offerings and updates effectively.
The home page offers detailed information about the primary care provided by Westview Boys’ Home, including a news section that keeps visitors informed about recent activities, events, and success stories. It is a central hub for understanding the core mission and achievements of the Boys’ Home.
The Family Services section focuses on the various ways Westview Family Services assists families of at-risk youth. It includes detailed descriptions of the programs and support services available.
The Launch page provides background information about the organization, the launch of the new services, and their future plans. It is designed to engage potential donors and supporters by detailing how they can contribute to the growth and success of Westview Boys’ Home and its new initiatives.
The donate page is a crucial component of the website, offering visitors multiple ways to contribute. It includes options to donate directly to Westview Boys’ Home, support specific projects, or contribute to individuals, churches, and other associated entities.
Throughout the design process, user experience and accessibility were prioritized. The best practices for web accessibility were implemented to ensure that the site is usable by individuals with disabilities, adhering to the latest WCAG guidelines.
